Auricular acupressure® treatment to relieve neuropathic pain in the lower right leg was carried out in a forty-year-old female patient hospitalized in an oncology unit due to a recurrence of melanoma. The treatment had the unexpected effect of enabling bowel movements to be released after ten minutes. Several effects were reported at the end of the treatment: pain relief, constipation relief, and a feeling of relaxation mentioned by the patient. Auricular acupressure® was helpful for this patient in a palliative unit in terms of improvement of quality of life.
