Aim: Before a healing process can begin, it is essential to reframe the traumatic images arising from chronic post-traumatic stress disorder. Auricular chromotherapy, based on the work of Dr Asis, has already been used successfully to this effect (1,2). We performed a study using a specific blue color (Kodak F98), used by Dr Paul Nogier (3) , and localizing the points of interest using the vascular autonomic signal (VAS) (3,4).
Materials and methods: Thirty-one patients were treated with auriculotherapy using Kodak F98 (blue light) stimulation, according to Dr Paul Nogier's method. The VAS played an essential role in the process of detecting and processing the points (5).
Results: Subjective units of distress scale (SUDS) and validity of cognition (VOC) scores improved after a session of auriculotherapy. In most cases (80 percent), the traumatic image became mentally unreachable and emotionally neutral.
Conclusions: A single session of auricular chromotherapy using Kodak F98 color and the VAS showed promising results in reducing symptoms linked to a traumatic image.
