Dance and hypnosis

By Pascale Klein
English

Pascale Klein is a psychoanalytically-oriented psychotherapist (she studied at the CCPSE, Collège Clinique Psychanalytique du Sud-Est), as well as a sophrologist and therapist trained in Ericksonian hypnosis (she is a graduate of the IEPA, Institut Européen de Psychologie Appliquée in St Laurent du Var). She is also a professional dancer, dance teacher, and choreographer of African-inspired dance (trained by the FEÏDA, Fédération Internationale de Danses Africaines in Bordeaux), and a dance therapist (“Interaction, Art, and Psychotherapy” diploma from the University of Nice-Sophia-Antipolis). Pascale Klein’s approach is based on the idea that we can draw on both the body’s earliest memories and movement to enrich our ability to open up to the world, allowing us to “deconstruct” in order to better “reconstruct.” Her method is focused on first enabling people to “let go” mentally and physically, by combining Ericksonian hypnosis with free dance, followed by “connecting” with the intelligence of the heart. By using the person’s own resources, this practice opens up other possibilities: weaving a bridge between dance and hypnosis to have greater control over one’s own life, for greater well-being.
