Longer life expectancy is associated with increasingly complex medical management of patients (multiple prescriptions, a combination of age-related systemic diseases, and the emergence of viruses such as SARS-CoV-2). Dentists, by exploring the oral cavity, are key players in the prevention of aging through the richness of the microbiota and the maintenance of oral functionality. Above all, they play a major role in supporting lifestyle habits. Dental medicine is personalized, preventive, and predictive thanks to modern technological tools—but above all, it is participatory. This aspect places the patient at the heart of a holistic approach, contributing to the improvement of individual, collective and, on a larger scale, environmental health.
