The association Accords Ouverts: Bringing together walking, art, and living things

By Julie Avril, Alice Guyon
English

This article presents an original practice proposed by an association, Accords Ouverts, combining hiking and singing, as walking and singing can reinforce each other by promoting breathing, presence, and vitality. The days alternate between walking in nature, oral transmission of songs, and vocal technique workshops, in a very embodied approach without written support. The career path of Julie Avril, who developed this practice, atypical and self-taught, combines music, singing, street musical theater, and mid-mountain guiding, leading to the creation of her association Accords Ouverts. She places a central emphasis on improvisation, creativity, and mindfulness.

Participants report physical, mental, and energetic benefits, and this practice is fully in line with a holistic, ecological, and integrative vision of health.
