The Psychedelic Journey Beyond Substances. Report on the symposium organized by the Grenoble Psychedelic Society in celebration of Bicycle Day (April 18, 2026, Grenoble)

The Grenoble Psychedelic Society, a nonprofit organization dedicated to scientific and cultural outreach on non-ordinary states of consciousness and psychedelic substances, organized a study day entitled “The Psychedelic Journey Beyond Substances” on April 18, 2026. Held during the annual Bicycle Day, the event brought together lectures, roundtables, workshops, and artistic performances focusing on non-ordinary states of consciousness induced with or without psychoactive substances. The speakers explored several dimensions of care, including mental health, bodily practices, interpersonal connection, and collective engagement. The event also addressed the therapeutic, social, festive, and political dimensions of trance practices through interdisciplinary perspectives combining research, clinical practice, anthropology, and artistic creation.
